Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship Scheme (SPSS)

The Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship Scheme (SPSS) under the Self-financing Post-secondary Education Fund is set up by the Education Bureau of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The scholarships aim to give recognition not only to students with outstanding academic performance, but also those with achievements and talents in other non-academic fields.

Objectives: The scholarship aims to recognize students with outstanding achievement.
Eligibility: 1.  Full-time Higher Diploma students of YMCA College of Careers;
2.  High Standard or academic performance;
3.  Demonstration of leadership and good communication skills;
4.  Valuable contribution to the College and strong commitment to the Hong Kong community.

Talent Development Scholarship (TDS)

Talent Development Scholarship (TDS)

Objectives: The scholarship aims to give recognition to students who have demonstrated achievements or talent in non-academic areas and provide support for these students to further their talent and potential.
Eligibility: 1. Full-time Higher Diploma students of YMCA College of Careers;
2. Student demonstrated talent or potential in following: Sport and Games / Music and Performing Arts / Culture, Arts and Design / Innovation, Science and Technology;
3. Student should receive awards in territory-wide, national or regional competitions or performances or represent the relevant association in such competitions or performances.

Reaching Out Award (ROA)

Reaching Out Award (ROA)

Objectives: The award aims to support meritorious students who are nominated by institutions to participate in learning, internship or services programmes that are conducted outside Hong Kong and organized or endorsed by the College. It also aims at equipping students with an international vision, broadening their exposure to multi-cultural environment and enhancing their communication skills in English, Putonghua or other languages.
Eligibility: 1. Full-time Higher Diploma students of YMCA College of Careers;
2. Student should achieve reasonably good academic attainment.
